Abadie's symptom
Abadie's symptom (not to be confused with Abadie's Sign) is defined as the absence of pain when firm pressure is applied to the tabes dorsalis because the sense of deep pain has been abolished. Abadie's symptom may be elicited during clinical examination.
Abadie's symptom is named for Joseph Louis Irenée Jean Abadie, a French neurologist.
